For what it's worth, I absolutely love the new black & white adjustment tool in the Photoshop CS3 beta -- it's about time! I'm pretty sure I'll never again use the Channel Mixer to create B&W's. CS3 also adds black & white functionality to Adobe Camera Raw, though I've yet to experiment with it.
