San Francisco, California, March 2006. I'm very happy with how this shot turned out considering I was using a very short lens (17-40 f/4L) and was standing at the rear of a moving boat as my girlfriend and I were returning from the Alcatraz tour earlier this year. I processed this one quite a bit, but didn't crop it at all, which should give you a sense of just how close this seagull was (much like the other seagull shot I've put up here).
