Anatomical clues to human evolution from fish

The time-lapse video complementing the article shows a human face developing during the first trimester, and is, without question, one of the most fascinating things I've ever seen.

If you're interested in this stuff at all (and how could you not be), I highly recommend Neil Shubin's Your Inner Fish: A Journey into the 3.5-Billion-Year History of the Human Body. I read it last year in just two sittings--I couldn't put it down.
